Gettysburg Monument Pictures
Anyone who has visited Gettysburg is instantly captivated with the
monuments there – even more so when we can point and say – that one is for my
ancestor’s regiment. In our house, my
oldest daughter can in an almost liturgical voice identify the 74th
monument – “It’s the 74th Pennsylvania monument and August Funk was
a member and…” Parents know what I mean
by liturgical…
Well Daniel Levin, descendant of Sgt. Pichel of Company G and a
professional photographer (www.levinphoto.com)
took a road trip recently to Gettysburg to see the monuments that were
there. Here are the results – it may
take a few moments to load – but boy they are awesome.
Our Ancestor’s Commander’s name on the above monument.
